Indian wheat is wholemeal wheat flour that originated from India. It is mostly ground in stone mills, hence popularly known as chakkis and made from the grains which are golden in colour and hard to bite. Making Atta from grains is a long process which is done in atta mills. This flour is basically used to make flat breads such as roti, chapati, parantha, puri. Chakki Atta is high in protein and gluten content which provides elasticity to easily make out dough from it and that can be rolled into thin sheets which are known as flat breads. Indian atta is the most finely milled wheat flour.
